Q. How do I make a reservation?
A. It is easy to make a reservation on Not1Night!
To begin visit the homepage:
  1. Select Destination
    Please select your destination and the length of your stay and then click ‘Search’.
  2. Choose a Property
    Here you have two choices:
    • You can simply select the hotel of your choice, by clicking on the name of the hotel.
    • You can select the room type within the hotel. To do this, simply click on your desired accommodation type which corresponds with the hotel of your choice.
  3. Accommodation Type
    Select the room type of your choice (using the scroll bar), confirm your other details and then click ‘Continue’. You can also scroll down on this page to view the room prices, the hotel details and the room type details.
  4. Book and Pay
    Enter your booking details here. Please ensure that all asterisked fields are completed and then click ‘Book Now’.
Once your booking is completed you will receive a confirmation email with the booking number and pin code (confirmation number). Please record these details and retain them for future reference.

Q. What Payment Methods do you accept?
A. You will need to provide us with your credit card details in order to secure your reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club.

Q. Will my credit card be charged at the time of booking?
A. For most properties, the full amount of your booking is NOT charged to your credit card at the time of booking. We simply charge a 10% deposit as well as a minimal booking fee, in order to secure your reservation. You then pay the balance of the payment on arrival. However some properties do charge the balance at time of booking or shortly before arrival. The individual payment policy is displayed in the Deposit and Payment Section of the Property. It is also displayed when making the Booking and in your Booking Confirmation.

Q. Can I use a credit card with an International billing address?
A. Yes you certainly can, we accept Visa and Mastercard.

Q. Is my Payment Secure and are my credit card details safe?
A. All of your personal details are treated with the utmost confidentiality. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are transmitted using 128 bit SSL encryption. Furthermore, to further ensure your online security, Not1Night has a Thawte certificate.

Q. What personal details do you collect and what do you do with them?
A. All of your personal details are treated with the utmost confidentiality. We only collect your personal details in order to process and secure your reservation at your selected hotel. To view our entire Privacy Policy Click here.

Q. Can I also book over the phone?
A. Yes you can book on the phone. Please feel free to contact us during business hours on +61 3 9525 4028. We also accept internet bookings.

Q. How far in advance can I make a booking?
A. Unlike other internet websites Not1Night offers you great accommodation deals not only for the last minute but also up to a year in advance.

Q. Am I getting the best price for my hotel accommodation?
A. Our hotel partners use Not1Night as a means of selling their rooms for extended stays. They offer discounted rates for longer stays, so you can be sure that the longer you stay the better the price that you will be able to book the hotel for.

Q. Am I guaranteed a room at the rate shown?
A. Absolutely! There are only a limited number of rooms available at these special rates so book early to ensure that you get the best possible rate.

Q. Can I make a reservation for more than one room?
A. Yes, you can type in number of rooms or apartments you want to book on the hotel details page. However, it is subject to availability and hotel policy.

Q. Can I book more than one property in a single itinerary?
A. No. If you want to book two different hotels or even two different room types within the same hotel you will need to make two separate bookings.

Q. Can I make special requests (eg; disabled room, smoking, etc)?
A. Yes. All you need to do is to enter the special requests into the space provided on the Booking page. Although the hotel will make every effort to fulfill these special requests, they cannot be guaranteed.

Q. Is my booking confirmed?
A. Your booking will only become valid when a booking number has been generated on the Not1Night website and it has either been emailed to you or displayed on your screen. This booking number is your confirmation of the booking and it is your responsibility to record it and retain it for future reference.

Q. Can I book for only one night?
A. This depends on the hotel. Some hotels will accept one night bookings well in advance, some only last minute and some not at all. However, please note, that the longer you stay, the greater the discount you may receive.

Q. Will the hotel receive my booking immediately?
A. Yes. The hotel is emailed your reservation immediately after you have entered your details and the deposit payment has been processed.

Q. What proof of booking do I have to show the hotel?
A. Upon arrival at the hotel, you must show your credit card and the confirmation email (with the booking number) as proof of your booking.

Q. Do I need to confirm my booking with the hotel directly?
A. No. Your booking has been sent to the hotel and they have all the details that they require to keep the reservation for you. You do not need to contact them regarding your booking, unless of course you want to discuss other matters with them.

Q. How do I change my booking?
A. To change your booking you must first make a new booking and then cancel your existing booking. Please take note of our cancellation policy.

Q. Can I cancel my booking?
A. Whether you can cancel a booking depends on the terms and conditions of the cancellation policy specified by the hotel. Our cancellation policy is listed below:

Cancellation Policy
For cancellations made within the allowable cancellation period (specified at the time of the booking), Not1Night will refund your 10% deposit and will charge an administrative fee of $10.00 AUD for online cancellations and $15.00 AUD for cancellations made by phone or email. Both these cancellation fees are charged per room or apartment booked. The booking fee ( for most properties, $3.00 AUD for Visa, Mastercard, $6.50 AUD for American Express and Diners Club ) is non-refundable.

In addition, the hotel may charge a cancellation fee which will be specified at the time of your booking. The 10% deposit will not be refunded if the cancellation is made in a period in which cancellation is not allowed or if you fail to show up to the property.

Q. How do I cancel my booking online?
A. To cancel your booking online visit the cancellation page. A link to this page is found on the top of any page on the Not1Night website.
You will then be asked to provide your booking number and pin code (confirmation number). These details can be found in the confirmation email, which you received at the time of your booking. Please take note of our cancellation policy and that of the hotel. An email will be sent to you once the cancellation process is complete.
