Brunswick is it's heart, a long street starting at Gregory Terrace, where we are, and running down the hill all the way over to New Farm. Partly pedestrianised you'll find this place is busy whatever the time of day or night.
By day, cafes and market stalls sprall across the street; where you'll find Brisbanites and backpackers sharing tips over a quick coffee.
By night it's the pumping sounds of the Valley's clubs and pubs that keep all the punters happy, no matter what they're looking for.
Incorporating China Town and Brisbanes alternative scenes, the Valley is certainly a cosmopolitan place; so get yourelf down there and enjoy some good nights out, BrisVegas style!

Bars: If you like your beers or your cocktails then the only place to stay is the Brisbane Manor.
A couple of minutes round the corner to Brisvegas (The Valley), with all it's party life; but far enough away to leave it all behind for some peace and quite the morning after.
There's ton's of bars down in the Valley and it is THE area where everyone comes to party whatever night of the week. From cocktail saloons and lounges right through to your traditional English and Irish pubs the valley has it all.

Restaurants:
No matter what your tastes there are hundreds of excellent restaurants and places to eat in and around Brisbane.
River City Restaurants Dotted along the banks of the River Brisbane, in the heart of the city, are a great range of fine restaurants and cafes. From bargain to Connoisseur you'll find amazing dishes in this relaxed riverside atmosphere.
Oriental Delights Sushi to Go, Yum Cha and loads of sit down delights; China Town in the Valley is the place to satisfy any oriental cravings.
Brunswick - The Valley round the corner from China Town is central Brunswick . This pedestrianised area is packed day and night with cafe society, pizza joints, burger bars and those famous ozzie kebabs.

Clubs:
Like to dance till the sun rises? Brisvegas has some great nightclubs and dance parties. From booming house, trance, trip hop or Abba, you'll find your beat down in the Valley.
Headlining the clubbing options is Family, Australia's reigning best nightclub. Brisbane's original live music venue, The Zoo, is where you'll find a whole range of live acts to tap your feet to. Some of the newer venues include the GPO Hotel, Monastery the Press Club and Sunbar all in and around Brunswick.
Most clubs kick off on a Friday night and you can keep going through till Monday morning if you really want.

Casino:
We are not called BrisVegas for nothing!
You'll have realized by now that aussies love their casinos and there's no better place to see this, in style, than Brisbane's Treasury Casino. Built between 1885 and 1928 originally as an Officers Military Barracks this amazing building has been converted into not only a casino but a whole entertainment venue.
You don't need to gamble, if it's not your thing, the casino is Free to enter and you can just soak up the atmosphere over a few drinks or an evening meal.

Shopping:
Shop till you drop cause Brisbane has ton's of great shops to suit any budget in the city or further a field.
The city centre has all those famous aussie stores; Myers, David Jones, Harvey Norman and a whole heap of shops offering all you could ever want. For essentials and food there are 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, bakers and several bottle shops all within walking distance to us.
For specialist outdoor gear, backpacking stuff, climbing materials, camping gear and more you'll find a large camping shop and climbing centre just round the corner.

Culture:
Like the Arts? Then head for the South Bank to find the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, theatres and bars where you'll find regular plays musicals and events.
Customs house in Queen Street is a heritage listed masterpiece with free guided tours and its own art gallery - permanent home of the renowned Stuartholme Behan Collection of Australian Art featuring Arthur Streeton.
Brisbane's museums are a must to learn more about the heritage of the city and it's surrounds. The Power House in New Farm is always a great place to go to see a show.
