Gilligan’s Backpackers Hotel and Resort Cairns is the ultimate experience in backpackers hotel accommodation and leisure that will forever change your view of budget travel.

Gilligan’s is a purpose built backpackers hotel resort located in the city centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland, the stepping off point to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. Gilligan’s offers a blend of traditional backpacker accommodation (with a few added comforts) plus 3.5 star hotel rooms.

Gilligan's offers a variety of room types to suit the taste of all our guests. All room types have private bathrooms and air conditioning. The 4, 6 & 8 bed dorms offer king-sized single beds (most have balconies). The en-suite bathrooms can be used three ways (doors separating the shower, toilet and vanity) so there's none of the difficulties regularly experienced with too few communal facilities.

All Dorms are also available in FEMALE ONLY. For those seeking a bit more comfort and privacy, our hotel rooms come complete with your own private balcony, bar fridge, TV, DVD and stereo, coffee/tea facilities, hair-dryer, lounge and desk area

Split over four floors, each floor has kitchen and newly refurbished TV and breakout areas. Communal areas include a laundry, internet, lagoon pool with sandy beach and 3 large bars with nightly entertainment.

As a Gilligan's guest you can laze by the pool whilst sipping a cocktail, sample local cuisine, shop, browse over local produce markets, catch up with friends over the internet, or dance the night away - all without leaving this holiday haven.
