Byron Bay is a melting pot of different people, offering something for everyone. If you have a taste for the more adventurous, try hang-gliding off the cape, or sky diving from one of the highest jumps possible in Australia.
Snorkel or scuba dive around the Julian Rocks marine park, go kayaking with the dolphins, have a round of golf or a game of tennis. Go horse riding on the beach, go watch the whales, dolphins, turtles and manta rays from the infamous Byron Bay lighthouse - Australia's most easterly point. Learn to surf, or just have a swim at any one of many pristine beaches that Byron has to offer.
Get fit in one of the many yoga centers, or if you want a more intense work out, go to boot camp.
Simply relax with a massage or facial and rejuvenate in one of Byron's many day spas.

The local Arts and Crafts markets are held on the 1st of Sunday of each month. Here experience and taste local products and produce, and witness the community spirit of Byron Bay.
The Farmer Markets are also held at the market grounds every Thursday morning. Here between 8am and 11am, purchase and taste fresh, organic, chemical-free local produce direct from the grower, as well has locally grown coffee, delicious home made cakes and snacks.
From Byron Bay take a day trip (or two!) into the hinterland.
Get in touch with nature through one of many different walks through one of the many different national parks in the area.
Climb Mount Warning for sunrise and be the first on Australian mainland to witness the glory of the sun.
From Byron it is also possible to explore the many villages in the area. Bangalow is a beautiful quaint village in the hills with many different cafes and boutiques.
Or visit your wild and alternative side and take a trip to Nimbin, home of the Aquarian movement and the alternative lifestyle.
And if you don't want to do all the planning and driving, take a tour - there are many in the area, including three different bus tours to Nimbin, or the local knowledge or wildlife tours that will take you into the bush to witness all the native animals in all their glory in their natural habitat.
