You are looking out over the Harbour towards the sea with Fort Denison in the Middle, on your left you can see Bradley's Head National Park with its old Military installments and Taronga Zoo is on the the foreshore. NORTH:

Admiralty House Kirribilli Ave, Kirribilli, North Sydney. Directly opposite the Opera House at the end of Kirribilli Point, stands Admirality House (closest to the bridge) and Kirribilli House, the Sydney residences of the Governor-General and the Prime Minister respectively, these grand houses are only opened to the public on special occasions, and are within one minute walk of Glenferrie Lodge.



Taronga Zoo
...world famous for its harbour views & animal exhibits

The constantly evolving Taronga Park Zoo overlooking the harbour from Mosman has a wide variety of animals, many native to Australia. Ferries leave Warf 2 at Circular Quay and stop at the Zoos' harbour entrance. However the Zoo is set on a steep hill, so if you don't want to be continually walking up hill, it is recommended you catch a bus from Circular Quay to the front entrance, and take a ferry home. During the summer months night visits are organised so you can view the nocturnal animals.

LOCAL MARKETS NEAR BY

Four local Sydney markets


Kirribilli Markets are held on the fourth Saturday of the month on the former Kirribilli Bowling Club site ( corner of Fitzroy and Alfred St on the western side of the Harbour Bridge). This is one of the oldest established markets in Sydney and has up to 200 stall holders selling a wide variety of merchandise.

North Sydney Markets are held on the second Saturday of each month in the Civic Park between Council Chambers and Stanton Library on Miller Street North Sydney.

Northside Produce Market is also run by the North Sydney Community Centre and aims to provide fresh market and gourmet produce in a convivial market atmosphere. The Market operates on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8am to 12 noon. The Market is held in the Civic Park between Council Chambers and Stanton Library on Miller Street North Sydney.

Crows Nest Markets are held on the third Saturday of the month in the grounds of the Crows Nest Centre, 2 Ernest Place, Crows Nest, near Willoughby Road.



RELAXING PARKS NEAR BY

If you feel like relaxing, you can soak up the sun on one of the hotel's many court-yards and verandas, or you can take a short walk to nearby public parks to stroll along the harbour foreshore.


Kirribilli Harbour View Reserve

This small park is adjacent to Kirribilli Lodge and is a very quiet & peaceful place only a 2minute walk from the lodge. At most times of the day you will be the only one there.

North Sydney Olympic Pool at Milsons Point contains a new gymnasium, sauna, spa, restaurant and indoor 25 metre pool, in addition to the existing open-air 50 metre pool.
