Designed by a leading Hobart architects, Jacob Allen and Wade, the Hotels’ elliptical form rises elegantly above its original 1930’s wapping street façade. The result is a building which retains its historical links but provides a contemporary expression with the Hobart central business district. Natural colour schemes of muted browns and creams have been used throughout to create an atmosphere of warmth and luxury.
Hotel Collins offers 80 contemporary, sophisticated but comfortable and cosy hotel rooms as well as 1 & 2 bedroom self contained apartments. All guest accommodation is non smoking featuring stylish, modern furnishings and floor to ceiling double glazed windows for the quietest rooms in the Hobart CBD. Further inclusions are private ensuite bathrooms with showers and baths, air conditioning, LCD TVs, desks, cable broadband internet connection, hair dryers, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dialling phones, ironing boards, bar fridges, free in-house movies, alarm clocks, and wake up calls.
