There are an abundance of shops available, many riverside and beachside restaurants and cafes, excellent golf courses, white sandy beaches to sunbathe on and numerous outdoor activities to enjoy.
Only minutes away, you can visit wineries, swim with dolphins in their natural environment, holiday on an island, dive in the warm waters and explore the historic port city of Fremantle.

Perth Cultural Centre - including the Western Australian Museum, the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Library and Information Service of Western Australia, the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Blue Room, the Artrage, the Fuel and Energy Bar, Gotham Studios and Art on the Move.

Kings Park - one of the largest of the lush parks within the City of Perth. Laid out in 1872 and finely situated on a hill above the broad river and the city, it has an area of 404 ha, consisting partly of natural bush country, with a brilliant display of wild flowers in spring, and partly of a botanic garden containing more than 1200 species of Western Australian plants.

Aquarium of Western Australia - walk through a glass underwater tunnel at Hillary's Boat Harbor and observe over 200 species of native marine animals including stingrays, mantas, dolphins, and various kinds of shark. From this unique vantage point you can experience life underwater without getting wet or disturbing the animals. For extreme experiences, you can dive with the sharks in the aquarium and play with the dolphins.
There are also half-day trips (Sept.-Nov. Tue.-Sun.) to watch the whales when they are diving in the ocean off the coast of Fremantle.

St George's Terrace - the main street in the city of Perth. It runs parallel to the Swan River and forms the major arterial road through the central business district. Set into the pavement (in 1979) are 150 bronze tablets commemorating notable figures in 150 years of Western Australian history.

Cohuna Koala Park - home to Australia's largest colony of koalas, together with more than 300 kangaroos and many other indigenous Australian animals. Just stroll through the bush tracks and pathways to find and hand feed many of the free roaming animals. See wombats, talking parrots, dingoes, kangaroos, emus, deer and koalas just to name a few. Take a breathtaking walk through the giant bird aviary to see over 20 species of native birds. Helicopter tours are also available. Cohunu Koala Park is located on sixteen hectares of natural Australian bush land just 35 minutes from the city of Perth in Western Australia.

Walyunga National Park - approximately 1,790 hectares and is located just 37 km north east of Perth. While enjoying the attractive scenery of the Swan River running through the Avon Valley, scenic views of Perth and Swan Coastal Plain, you can also discover an abundance of wildlife that flourishes in the park. Much of the park is covered with eucalyptus forest. The river has carved a series of ponds out of the granite rock which is great for swimming and boating. When the river is high, after winter rain there is good white-water rafting. The park is the largest Aboriginal settlement area raound Perth. The settlement was occupied until the late 19th century. Archaeological evidence - soil erosion after plowing by early settlers has brought to light large numbers of bones and stone tools and hunting weapons - has shown that the area was occupied by Aborigines for more than 6000 years.

Adventure World - Perth’s premier amusement park featuring Western Australia’s best mix of wet and dry rides plus Kids Cove…something for the entire family. There are water rides, traditional park rides, the extreme daredevil rides and over $1.5 million worth of rides for families with young children. Pay a single entry for the whole day. There are seven man-made lakes, food and beverage outlets and landscaped areas for picnicking.
