Located within Hotel Barkly, St Kilda Beach House provides accommodation for backpackers and budget travellers. We are conveniently located in the heart of St Kilda close to tram, train and bus stops, as well as bustling Acland Street and the Esplanade.

All our rooms are en suited and have air-conditioning. We also have a secure key card system, FREE WiFi available, lockers, a lounge & TV area, self-contained kitchen, and an awesome rooftop bar with stunning views of St Kilda.

Our public bar features Jimmy's kitchen where you'll enjoy your free pancakes each Wednesday. We offer discounted drink prices for in house guests and there are great daily specials on meals including Chicken Parmigiana, Steak, Pasta, and Curry Nights (Vegetarian / Vegan options available).
FREE breakfast – toast, cereal, tea and coffee is available every morning for in-house guests.
Our public bar is also home to in-house entertainment – we have TRIVIA on a Monday, Poker nights, LIVE music and drink specials throughout the week.

Although we will do our best to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee that groups of 3 or more guests will be put in the same room.
Our private rooms are located just below our rooftop bar – elevated noise levels are to be expected.
PLEASE NOTE: Photo identification and credit card information are required for each booking.
We are an international guest only property and age restrictions apply.
Each hostel guest is required to deposit $10 CASH for their room key which is refundable upon checkout.

Cancellation Policy

St Kilda Beach House and Hotel Barkly's Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your booking at anytime before 5pm, 1 day prior to arrival.
If you cancel your booking after the specified period, or if you fail to show up, St Kilda Beach House and Hotel Barkly will charge you one night's accommodation for each room that you have booked and your deposit will not be refunded.

Not1Night’s Policy of Cancellations and Changes

Not1Night will charge an administration fee of $10.00 AUD for online cancellations and $15.00 AUD for cancellations or changes made by phone or email.

Deposits Policy

To secure your booking, we require a 10% deposit of the total accommodation cost. This will be deducted from your credit card at the time of the booking.

Getting to us is easy -

From Melbourne Airport - you can jump on the AIRPORT BUS DANDENONG it goes to our front door. Please contact us for schedule information and ticket pricing. Please note that the shuttle bus stops running at 6:30 pm.

Alternatively, the SKYBUS, located out the front of Tullamarine Airport will bring you to SOUTHERN CROSS TRAIN STATION for $18 per person. This service departs Tullamarine every 20minutes – from Southern Cross station, the 96 TRAM will bring you to St Kilda at the intersection of FITZROY ST and GREY STREET.
Follow GREY STREET, we are at the next major intersection (5-10minutes walk) on your right hand side.
