Ideal for a romantic couple getaway, the Double gypsy wagon was constructed under guidance from Heritage Victoria, The wagon is a unique reproduction of the travelling gypsy wagons of the late 19th century. Historical accuracy however does not stand in the way of 21st century comforts though. Ascend the wagon stairs into a kitchenette, dining and entertainment area -all well equiped for your comfort. The wagon, richly decorated in velvet, lace and brocades, is strisclty non smoking and includes 1 Double Bed (grandma's high bed), a full private ensuite bathroom with shower, hair dryer and toilet, reverse cycle air conditioning, colour TV, a fully equipped kitchen with hot plates, fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, crockery and cutlery, sofa, dining table and chairs, alarm clock and private balcony. The wagon is surrounded by magnificent private gardens, within walking distance to the river, historic port and town centre. Pets are permitted via prior consent - please pnone the number on your booking confirmation. The rate is for 2 guests. The wagon caters for a maximum of 2 guests. Located on the first floor, within the host's home (but separate with own private entry), the guesthouse consists of 2 Bedrooms and 2 ensuite bathrooms. Each bedroom offers 1 Double bed which has been meticulously hand painted in Australian wildflower furnishings and has its own private balcony with views into the gardens below. A new,, fully equipped kitchen is provided with the option of indoor (kitchen) or outdoor dining on the balcony or gardens below. The separate lounge has a fold down couch to accommodate an additional person.PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum 2 night booking at all times (3-4 nights on long weekends/peak season). This self contained accommodation option is in a 145 year old Victorian timber cutters dwelling. Enter through the lounge/parlor with pressed metal high ceilings and original polished wooden floors. The large dining table in the adjoining room provides ample space for intimate or group dining whilst the newly refurbished fully equipped kitchen is a joy to "cook up a storm" in. The 3 bedrooms (2@4 plus double), although not spacious are adequate for those accustomed to sharing. Finally there are the newly retried bathrooms (2) and laundry before exiting to your own private back yard with bar-b-que facilities.
